Olt is working out again

SEATTLE -- Rangers infielder Mike Olt, who has been sidelined for a month because of blurred vision, has been cleared to resume baseball activities. Olt has been seen by several eye specialists and has been taking medication and eye drops to clear his vision.

Olt has been sent to the Rangers' training complex in Surprise, Ariz., to begin working out again. He will work up to game action and then be assigned to Triple-A Round Rock.

Olt, the No. 21 ranked prospect on the MLB.com Top 100, has not played since April 25. At the time, he was hitting .139 with one home run and six RBIs. In 72 at-bats, he struck out 32 times.
