Texas Rangers Set Season TV Ratings Record on FOX Sports Southwest

Television ratings for Texas Rangers games on FOX Sports Southwest reached an all-time high in 2012. The 125 games on FOX Sports Southwest averaged a record 5.9 household rating in Dallas-Fort Worth, a 51 percent increase from the previous season high of 3.9 in 2011, according to Nielsen Media Research.

During the 2012 season, the Rangers logged nine of their all-time Top 10 ratings on FOX Sports Southwest, led by a record 10.7 on April 9 for Yu Darvish’s major league debut against the Seattle Mariners.

The Rangers also set a record in 2012 for the highest rated month ever on FOX Sports Southwest in April with a 7.5 average. The month included a 10.0 rating on April 24 (No. 2 all-time) and a 9.7 on April 25 (No. 3 all-time) versus the New York Yankees.

For the season, an average of 151,200 homes tuned in to watch Rangers games on FOX Sports Southwest.
