Music is a great way to bond with people, whether it's going to a concert with a group of friends, dancing to your favorite song at the bar or joining a jam session with strangers.
It turns out the baseball players feel the same way. This spring, the Dodgers formed a clubhouse band -- including their big free agent addition, A.J. Pollock -- and it seems that the act of playing music together has already drawn them close. You can feel -- and hear -- the cohesion on their cover of "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down on Monday:
But wait, there's more! At one point during this clubhouse jam session, Clayton Kershaw donned his best country digs to lead a few bars of George Strait's "Troubadour," and looked pretty convincing in doing so:
The band features Pollock and David Freese on guitar, pitcher Mark Washington on the drum and Brock Stewart and Ross Stripling on vocals.
If the Dodgers' clubhouse band can avoid the sort of drama that has been known to plague bands throughout the ages, they could be a great addition to the locker room. Over the course of a long season, it never hurts to have some live entertainment to keep things loose.
