The San Francisco Giants and Lazer Broadcasting have agreed to terms on a new three‐year agreement to broadcast Giants games in Spanish through the 2020 season. Giants President and CEO Larry Baer and Lazer's President and CEO Alfredo Plascencia made the announcement today.

KXZM, 93.7 FM in the San Jose/San Francisco markets will serve as the new Spanish flagship radio station. The games will also be simulcast on three other Radio Lazer stations, 94.3 FM in Sacramento, 107.1 FM in Santa Rosa and 93.1 FM in Salinas/Monterey. Lazer Broadcasting Corporation owns and operates 29 radio stations across 13 markets in California and two in Nevada, with its top-rated Radio Lazer (Regional Mexican) and La Mejor (Spanish Adult Hits) networks, La Mexicana (Ranchera) and Latino (Spanish CHR Hits) and KSTV-TV in Sacramento. This makes them one of the largest privately-held, minority-owned radio groups in the country. The total Hispanic population within the Lazer Broadcasting markets represents close to three million Hispanics - more than 40% of the total population in those markets.

The Spanish radio network will carry a total of 101 broadcasts in 2017 including all 81 home games as well as road games versus the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and Oakland Athletics.

The Giants broadcast team of Tito Fuentes, Marvin Benard and Erwin Higueros will call the games from the Giants' Spanish language broadcast booth - Fuentes for his 14th straight season, Higueros for this 20th season and Benard for his season.

"All of us at Lazer Broadcasting are proud to be the new home of Giants baseball en Español for our listeners in San Jose, Sacramento, Santa Rosa and Salinas/Monterey," said Plascencia. "Baseball is arguably the second most popular sport among Hispanic consumers, and these markets have demonstrated a strong appetite for Giants baseball. Our agreement with the San Francisco Giants reflects that, going way beyond just airing the games. This three-year partnership includes opportunities for our listeners to win tickets to the games, autographed merchandise and exclusive experiences at AT&T Park. We are thrilled to connect our passionate listeners with their San Francisco Giants."

"The Giants are excited for our new partnership with Lazer Broadcasting, which provides us with the opportunity to connect with our Spanish speaking fans over the airwaves. We look forward to working together and ensuring Giants baseball will be heard in the Spanish speaking communities of the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California," said Baer.
