DUARTE, Calif. - Baseball players and their fans are passionate about winning. Researchers are just as passionate about finding cures. The Los Angeles Dodgers and ThinkCure! will once again use their winning drive to help give cancer researchers at City of Hope a competitive edge against cancer: ThinkCure! Weekend. The yearly weekend, helping Angelenos in their battle against cancer, kicks off Saturday at Dodger Stadium as the Los Angeles Dodgers square off against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Through ThinkCure!, the Los Angeles Dodgers and their fans support City of Hope's efforts to find new treatments and cures for cancer patients. The annual ThinkCure event has raised more than $2 million over eight years to help support research grants, setting the stage for medical breakthroughs.
Highlights of the weekend will include:
