Third to first

• According to Elias Sports Bureau, southpaw John Danks is just the second pitcher at least eight games under .500 to work at least eight scoreless innings and pick up a win this season.

Danks was 2-10 when he went eight shutout innings on Tuesday night as the White Sox earned a 2-0 win over the Royals. Shawn Marcum of the Mets was 0-9 when he blanked the White Sox for eight innings on June 26.
