  • African American Heritage Night Presented by the Sound of Philadelphia. Starting at 6:30 p.m., Philadelphia International Records & the Phillies will honor Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees The O'Jays, whose hits include "Love Train" and "For The Love of Money," and Jazz Legend Jean Carne, whose hits include "Don't Let It Go To Your Head".   • Phillies Salute to Veterans featuring the POW-MIA National Chair of Honor unveiling.
    • Phillies Chairman David Montgomery, Phillies Wall of Famer Garry Maddox, who is a Vietnam Veteran, and Sportswriter Jerry Jonas will unveil the Phillies POW-MIA National Chair of Honor, which will be at Citizens Bank Park for the entire season in honor of those military who are prisoners of war or missing in action.
       
    • Veterans from conflicts from World War II until the current day will be introduced on the field. Vietnam veterans will carry the 50 state flags in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. All-Service color guard.
       
    • Representatives from the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center PALS Program will participate in the pregame ceremonies
       
    • First Ball: Representative from Toyota's Hiring Our Heroes program
       
    • America the Beautiful, National Anthem and God Bless America performed by TSgt Talani Quintello of the United States Air Force.
       
    • Hometown Heroes Base Change presented by Rothman Institute:  Frank Fisher, a nurse who served in Afghanistan on the Golden Hour Offset Surgical Team, and who also has been named Firefighter of the Year by the American Legion Post 521.
