June 28th, 2016

ST. PETERSBURG -- Top prospects Willy Adames, Chih-Wei Hu and Ryne Stanek, who all play for Double-A Montgomery, will represent the Rays at the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game in San Diego on July 10.
Adames, who is ranked the club's No. 3 prospect and will play on the World Team, is hitting .275 with eight home runs and 34 RBIs in 71 games. The shortstop has a .964 fielding percentage and has made nine errors in 252 total chances. Adames was acquired by the Rays from the Tigers as part of the David Price non-waiver Trade Deadline deal on July 31, 2014.
Futures Game rosters and scouting reports
Hu, who is the organization's 12th-ranked prospect and is on the World Team roster, is 2-6 with a 2.67 ERA in 14 starts. In 77 2/3 innings, the right-hander has 72 strikeouts compared to 23 walks and opponents are batting .258 against him. Hu was another Trade Deadline acquisition, as the Rays picked him up in the July 31, 2015, deal that sent Kevin Jepsen to the Twins.
Stanek, who is the team's 17th-ranked prospect and is on the U.S. Team squad, is 1-6 with a 3.91 ERA in 17 games (11 starts). The hard-throwing righty has 88 strikeouts in 76 innings and was recently moved to the closer's role after spending most of the first half of the season as a starter. The Rays selected Stanek with the 29th overall pick in the 2013 Draft.

The Rays will also send medical training coordinator Joe Benge to serve as the trainer for the World Team. Former Rays first-baseman Fred McGriff will be the first-base coach for the U.S. Team.
The 18th edition of the Futures Game will take place at Petco Park in San Diego (7 p.m. ET on MLB Network). Rosters for the prospect-filled game were announced on Tuesday, and as has become the tradition of the game, it is jam-packed with talent that will soon be filling big league rosters.
