Tickets available for Diamond of Dreams fundraiser

DETROIT -- Royals Charities' annual showpiece fundraiser, Diamond of Dreams: Taking the Field for the University of Kansas Hospital, will be held on the evening of Thursday, June 26, at Kauffman Stadium.

The on-field event will include appearances by current and former Royals, entertainment by the Michael Beers Band and a food and drink menu from some of Kansas City's favorite restaurants. The emcee will be news anchor Christa Dubill.

Also included in the 7 p.m. CT on-field event will be a silent auction, a chance to win a Rolex watch and a fireworks show.

Prior to the on-field event, The Capital Grille VIP Party will begin at 5:30 p.m. CT. A limited number of tickets are available for $250 a person.

The event benefits Royals Charities and the University of Kansas Hospital's Neonatal Medical Home.
