Detroit Tigers and Delaware North Company to host youth for holiday feast and shopping spree tomorrow

Jeff Jones, Dan Dickerson, PAWS and Tigers front office help spread holiday cheer

DETROIT – In celebration of the holiday spirit, the Detroit Tigers and Delaware North Companies
SportService will host nearly 50 underprivileged youth tomorrow, Wednesday, December 12, for a
special dinner at Comerica Park’s Tiger Club and a shopping spree at Fairlane Town Center.

Tigers pitching coach Jeff Jones and his wife Paula and Tigers radio broadcaster Dan Dickerson will
join the youth and their families for a traditional holiday dinner. Following dinner, everyone will board
chartered buses and head to Fairlane Town Center where they will meet Detroit’s favorite mascot,
PAWS, and embark on a shopping extravaganza.

The Detroit Tigers hope to give the youth an opportunity to enjoy an extra-special holiday season that
they won’t forget. As a result of generous contributions from Tigers FOX Sports Detroit broadcaster
Rod Allen and Tigers front office staff members, the Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch
Charities, will surprise each child with a loaded gift card to be used towards gifts of their choice.
The holiday feast begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Tiger Club at Comerica Park, 2100 Woodward Ave.,
Detroit, MI 48201. The shopping spree will begin at 7 p.m. at the Fairlane Town Center, 18900
Michigan Ave., Dearborn, MI 48126 at the food court entrance near Sears.

The Tigers are hosting nearly 50 youth from Matrix Human Services’ Angel Tree Adopt-a-Family
program, serving families in need from greater Detroit and the Michigan Adoption Resource
Exchange, which supports children living in foster care and works to find permanent homes for foster
children and teens.
