Tigers to Host Grandparents Day September 7 at Comerica Park

DETROIT- The Detroit Tigers will host Grandparents Day at Comerica Park on Monday, September 7 vs. The Tampa Bay Rays at 1:08 p.m.

A special ticket package is available and includes a game ticket and a 2015 limited edition Grandparents Day t-shirt. The first 500 ticket package purchasers will have the opportunity to participate in a pregame on-field stroll around the field. Before the game there will be activities located throughout the concourse for fans and grandparents to enjoy. The Detroit Tigers Party Patrol will host interactive games for fans of all ages in the Big Cat Court. Fans can create lifetime memories with their grandparents or grandchildren in the Grandparents Day photo booth near section 119. There will be face painters and The Reflections, singers of the 1964 hit song "(Just like) Romeo and Juliet", will perform from 11:45 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. near Gate B on the concourse.

Tigers Fan Mary Weider, who is 103 years old and the grandmother of 10, great-grandmother of 18 and great-great grandmother of five, will be accompanied on-field by her granddaughter Lorna Raukar, great granddaughter Logan Raukar and great grandson Matthew Raukar to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

God Bless America will be performed by 92-year-old World War II Veteran Harold Lanning (grandfather of 10; great-grandfather of 14) prior to the bottom of the seventh inning.
