Hudson, Bumgarner to miss Giants FanFest

SAN FRANCISCO -- Left-hander Madison Bumgarner and right-hander Tim Hudson were late scratches from the group of Giants expected to attend Saturday's FanFest.

Bumgarner felt ill and was ordered to remain at his North Carolina home. Hudson encountered transportation problems stemming from the ice storms that descended upon Atlanta.

In other personnel-related matters, Hudson (right ankle) and second baseman Marco Scutaro (left pinkie) are expected to be fit to participate when Spring Training begins. Pitchers and catchers report Feb. 14, followed by position players on Feb. 18. The first full-squad workout is slated for Feb. 19.
