BALTIMORE -- Todd Frazier sat in front of his locker in the Camden Yards visitors' clubhouse before Friday's 4-2 loss to the Orioles, further prove that the White Sox had not, in fact, traded the slugging third baseman. Rumors swirled that Frazier was on the move when he was scratched before Thursday's 8-3 win over the Royals, but he attributed the move to back tightness.
Manager Rick Renteria stuck to that claim Friday. Frazier once again was not listed in Chicago's starting lineup for the series opener, though Renteria said Frazier could be available off the bench.
"He's feeling a little better today," Renteria said. "He went and worked out a little bit. Still feels it. So we're giving him another day."

Matt Davidson, who entered Friday with a .276/.328/.932 slash line, started in Frazier's place Thursday and came up big. Davidson picked up two hits, including a solo homer in the second inning. Frazier's absence hardly seemed to affect the rest of Chicago's lineup, which recorded 11 hits in the win.
Frazier has had a rough start, belting just three homers to along with a .188 batting average in 82 at-bats. He's hit 40, 35 and 29 homers the past three seasons.
Renteria said he hopes to have Frazier back in the starting lineup Saturday.
