Tonight's late afternoon and evening community skate and sledding sessions may be affected by inclement weather

BOSTON, MA - Tonight's late afternoon and evening Community Skate and Sledding session for City of Boston residents may be affected by adverse weather conditions expected in the area later today. According to the Red Sox professional weather service, Telvent DTN, moderate rain is expected to reach the Fenway neighborhood sometime between 4 and 5 p.m. Rain is expected to continue throughout the evening.

City of Boston residents with tickets to the late afternoon and evening skating and sledding sessions are asked to check redsox.com/frozenfenway periodically for information about their specific skating and sledding times before heading to the ballpark.

Hundreds of City of Boston residents have been enjoying free public skating and sledding today courtesy of Mayor Thomas M. Menino. Today is one of two "Community Skate Days" for City of Boston Residents. The second will be held on New Year's Day.
