AMERICAN LEAGUE EAST

Blue Jays: Patrick Murphy, RHP (No. 17) -- 7 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 5 K (Double-A New Hampshire)
The 23-year-old righty bounced back from his rockiest outing of the season (4 2/3 IP, 7 H, 7 ER, 4 BB) to record his sixth quality start in his last seven turns. He retired the last 11 batters he faced, tallying five strikeouts and 10 groundouts while throwing 55 of 70 pitches for strikes in the outing. The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder owns a 3.69 ERA and 1.01 WHIP so far this season, with 65 strikeouts and 16 walks in 63 1/3 innings.

Orioles: Ryan Mountcastle, 1B (No. 1, MLB No. 63) -- 3-for-5, 3 HR, 5 RBI (Triple-A Norfolk); Austin Hays, OF (No. 5) -- 2-for-4, 2 HR, 3 RBI (Double-A Bowie)
Mountcastle put the Tides on the board in the first inning with a solo homer, hit a two-run shot in his next at-bat and then launched his third homer of the game, also a two-run shot, in the sixth inning, before the skies opened up in the next inning and caused a rain delay. It was the 22-year-old’s first three-homer game -- giving him 11 long balls on the season and four in his last two days -- and the third career multi-homer performance since being selected by the Orioles in the first round of the 2015 Draft. It also marked the Tides’ first three-homer game since July 2005. Down in Double-A, meanwhile, Hays pushed his season home run total to five with the fourth multi-homer performance of his career. He owns a .293 average (.926 OPS) in 10 games with the Baysox this season, while Mountcastle sports a .328 average and 39 RBIs in 46 games.

Rays: Wander Franco, SS (No. 1, MLB No. 5) -- 2-for-5, HR, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R; Shane Baz, RHP (No. 9) -- 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 7 K (Class A Bowling Green)
After homering on Friday, Franco, 18, went deep again Saturday in his first at-bat before Bowling Green’s contest against Lansing was suspended due to rain. When it picked up Sunday, he added an RBI double en route to his eighth multihit performance during his nine-game hitting streak. He’s batting .474 during said streak, with an overall season line of .326/.392/.536 through 47 games in his first full season. Baz, the PTBNL acquired by the Rays in last summer’s Chris Archer trade, picked up his second straight win on the mound, striking out seven. The hard-throwing 19-year-old has completed exactly five innings in each of his five starts this season, pitching to a 1.44 ERA with 32 strikeouts and a .161 BAA in 25 innings.

Red Sox: Josh Ockimey, 1B (No. 24) -- 2-for-4, solo HR (Triple-A Pawtucket)
Ockimey’s home run in the sixth inning was one of three Pawtucket hits Sunday in a win over Syracuse. The homer was Ockimey’s first since May 21 and gives him 13 in 50 games this season in his return to the Triple-A level. The 23-year-old hit a career-high 20 homers last season in 117 games between Double- and Triple-A.

Indians: Aaron Civale, RHP (No. 24) -- 6 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 10 K (Double-A Akron)
Civale, Cleveland’s third-round pick from the 2016 Draft, matched his career high in strikeouts in a no-decision for the RubberDucks. He struck out the side in the second inning and racked up four punchouts (one via a dropped-third strike) in his final inning of work. The 23-year-old has completed at least six innings in four of five starts since he made his season debut on May 11. He was sidelined for the first five-plus weeks of the season while recovering from a lat strain.

Royals: Meibrys Viloria, C (No. 18) -- 2-for-4 (Double-A Northwest Arkansas)
Viloria has hits in six of his past seven games and has posted back-to-back multihit efforts, bringing his average up to .222. The 22-year-old, whom the Royals signed in 2013, hit .123 in April, but started picking up the pace and hit .257 last month. Viloria is getting his first taste of Double-A this season, but he did appear in 10 Major League games last year. He hit .259 (7-for-27) in that span.

Tigers: Kody Clemens, 2B (No. 13) -- 2-for-3, RBI, R (Class A Adv Lakeland)
The son of Roger Clemens’ had already collected two hits, both singles, before driving in a run via a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning as part of the Flying Tigers’ nine-run frame. The 23-year-old second baseman, Detroit’s third-round pick last June, struggled during the season’s first month, hitting just .171 in 21 games, but since then he’s produced a .287 average while hitting 15 extra-base hits and 17 RBIs in 30 games since the beginning of May.

Twins: Gilberto Celestino, OF (No. 15) -- 2-for-3, solo HR, BB, SB (Class A Adv Fort Myers)
Celestino’s solo home run in the third inning accounted for all the scoring in the Kernels’ loss against Beloit. He also was the only Cedar Rapids player to tally multiple hits and also reached once via a walk from the No. 2 spot in the order. Acquired from Houston in last summer’s Ryan Pressley trade, Celestino, whom Houston originally signed for $2.5 million in July 2015, is batting .220/.300/.304 with three homers and nine steals in his first full season.

White Sox: Luis Robert, OF (No. 2, MLB No. 18) -- 2-for-6, HR, 2 R (Double-A Birmingham)
Robert continues to show why the White Sox signed him for $26 million in 2017. The 21-year-old outfielder has done nothing but rake all season and that continued with his massive homer in the sixth inning of Sunday. Robert, who is in the middle of an 11-game hitting streak, is hitting .325 through 28 games with Birmingham. He began the year with Class A Advanced Winston Salem and hit .453 through 19 games.

A’s: Daulton Jefferies, RHP (No. 14) -- 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 HBP, 2 K (Double-A Midland)
Entering the game in the fourth inning as part of a tandem with Grant Holmes, Jefferies proceeded to throw three scoreless frames, allowing two hits and striking out two while throwing 33 of 48 pitches for strikes. After missing most of the 2017-18 seasons while recovering from Tommy John surgery and subsequent complications, the 23-year-old righty has pitched to a 2.50 ERA and 0.86 WHIP with 39/2 K/BB in 36 innings.

Angels: Jose Soriano, RHP (No. 13) -- 7 IP, 2 H, 1 R (0 ER), 2 BB, 6 K (Class A Burlington)
Soriano, 20, allowed an unearned run in the third inning but otherwise was nearly untouchable as he completed a career-high seven innings while throwing 54 of 91 pitches for strikes. Signed by the Angels for $70,000 in March 2016, the Dominican righty has pitched to a 2.26 ERA in 53 2/3 innings in his return to the Midwest League, where he went 1-6 with a 4.47 ERA in 14 starts for the Bees last year. A 6-foot-3, 168-pounder, Soriano operates with a fastball that touches 97-98 mph and complements it with an above-average curveball and quality changeup.

Astros: Yordan Alvarez, OF/1B (No. 3, MLB No. 26) -- 1-for-3, solo HR, 2 BB (Triple-A Round Rock)
Alvarez’s 21st home run of the season was a first-inning solo shot that snapped the 21-year-old’s nine-game homerless draught. Even with his recent “slump”, Alvarez is still hitting a robust .357/.453/.760 on the season and leads the Pacific Coast League in homers, RBIs (65) and total bases (149). He’s already established a new career high in home runs through 52 games this season after hitting 20 in 88 contests a year ago between Fresno and Double-A Corpus Christi.

Mariners: Jarred Kelenic, OF (No. 2, MLB No. 42) -- 2-for-3, HR, 2 RBI, R (Class A Adv Modesto)
The 2018 No. 6 overall pick, whom the Mariners acquired from the Mets in the offseason trade for Edwin Diaz and Robinson Cano, has done nothing but hit since being promoted to the California League. He clubbed his second home run in four games for Modesto on Sunday, giving him 13 homers overall in 54 games across two levels in his first full season. To go along with the power, the 19-year-old outfielder has produced a .316 average and .396 OBP in his first full season en route to an even 1.000 OPS.

Rangers: Sherten Apostel, 3B (No. 22) -- 2-for-4, HR, 2B, 2 RBI (Class A Hickory)
The 20-year-old’s fifth home run of the season, a solo shot in his first at-bat of the game, highlighted a two-extra-base-hit performance that included an RBI double. Apostel made his fourth start of the season at first base compared to his usual work at the hot corner, where he’s committed 10 errors in 47 games. Acquired from the Pirates in the Keone Kela trade last summer, Apostel, at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, has the offensive potential to profile at either position.

Braves: Jefrey Ramos, OF (No. 25) -- 3-for-4, HR, 3B, 4 RBI (Class A Adv Florida)
The 20-year-old outfielder has hits in nine straight games after going 3-for-4 with a two-run homer on Sunday. He’s gone deep twice during the streak while posting a pair of multihit performances. Overall, Ramos, who signed for $250,000 in July 2016, has produced a .263/.293/.420 batting line with seven homers in 52 games this season in the Florida State League.

Marlins: Jorge Guzman, RHP (No. 9) -- 5 2/3 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 BB, 7 K (Double-A Jacksonville)
Guzman struck out the first four batters he faced and retired 14 of the first 15 as he carried a no-hit bid into the sixth inning before giving up four runs on four straight hits, including a three-run homer, after he had issued a one-out walk. Consistently throwing strikes continues to be a problem for the hard-throwing 23-year-old, but he has completed at least five innings in eight consecutive starts for the Jumbo Shrimp. Overall, Guzman owns a 4.01 ERA with 54 strikeouts and 33 walks in 60 2/3 innings.

Mets: Will Toffey, 3B (No. 15) – 2-for-3, 3B, 2B, RBI, R (Double-A Binghamton)
Toffey, a left-handed batter, hit his triple and double against southpaw and Red Sox No. 3 prospect Darwinzon Hernandez and also reached once via a walk in the contest. Acquired from Oakland in last summer’s Jeurys Familia trade, Toffey, a former fourth-round pick out of Vanderbilt, is hitting .237/.391/.363 with 12 extra-base hits through 42 games in his first Double-A campaign.

Phillies: Adam Haseley, OF (No. 3) -- 2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI, BB (Double-A Reading)
After grounding out in his first two trips to the plate, Haseley hit a single in the fifth inning before delivering a two-run double in the seventh. The multihit effort was Haseley’s second in five games since being promoted from Lehigh Valley from Double-A Reading, where he had slashed .272/.357/.468 with seven homers in 41 games. Between both stops, the former first-round Draft pick (No. 8 overall) out of Virginia has produced a .272/.357/.468 batting line over 46 games in his sophomore campaign.

Nationals: Raudy Read, C (No. 19) -- 2-for-4, 2 HR, 5 RBI (Double-A Harrisburg)
Read powered the Grizzlies over Iowa with his first multi-homer game of the season. The 25-year-old backstop connected on a two-run home run in the sixth inning and a three-run shot in the eighth to finish with a season-high five RBIs against Salt Lake. After a lost 2018 campaign in which he served a performance-enhancing drug suspension and hit just three homers in 53 games between Double- and Triple-A upon returning, Read, with his eight homers in 32 games for Fresno, is once again showing the type of power that netted him his first big league promotion in September 2017.

NATIONAL LEAGUE CENTRAL

Brewers: Brice Turang, SS (No. 3) -- 4-for-5, RBI, 2 R (Class A Wisconsin)
Turang, the No. 21 overall pick in the 2018 Draft, reached base in each of his five at-bats as he tallied four singles and also reached once via an error. The 19-year-old shortstop had been 0-for-8 at the plate in his previous two games before erupting for his second four-hit game this season and third of his career. With a .318/.414/.410 batting line through 52 games in the Midwest League, Turang is having one of the better first full seasons among prep hitters from the 2018 Draft.

Cubs: Trent Giambrone, INF (No. 20) -- 1-for-4, HR, 2 RBI (Triple-A Iowa)
Giambrone, batting eighth and playing second base, snapped out of an 0-for-21 slump with his ninth home run of the season, a go-ahead two-run shot in Iowa’s 8-5 win over Round Rock. After a breakout campaign in 2018 in which he batted .251 with 17 homers and 26 steals in 116 games at the Double-A level, the 25-year-old infielder has opened his first Triple-A exposure with a .212/282/.424 slash line in 54 games.

Cardinals: Nolan Gorman, 3B (No. 1, MLB No. 35) -- 1-for-3, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R, BB (Class A Peoria)
Gorman’s home run, a two-run shot in the first inning, was his first since May 14. The top prep slugger from the 2018 Draft class -- when the Cardinals selected him with the No. 19 overall pick -- has now gone deep 10 times for the Chiefs this season while putting forth an impressive .279/.381/.521 slash line in 53 games. Gorman, a 19-year-old third baseman, blasted 17 home runs in 63 games last summer to lead all 2018 draftees.

Pirates: Travis Swaggerty, OF (No. 3, MLB No. 71) -- 2-for-5, HR, 3 RBI (Class A Adv Bradenton)
Swaggerty’s second homer in three days was his fifth of the season for the Marauders. The 2018 first-rounder (No. 10 pick) out of Alabama went deep in the fifth inning, connecting on a three-run shot as part of a multihit effort. While his performance in his first full season (.249/.341/.376) has been a bit inconsistent so far, the 21-year-old outfielder has across-the-board tools that should begin to translate more regularly as he gains experience.

Reds: Taylor Trammell, OF (No. 2, MLB No. 19) -- 2-for-5, 2 R (Double-A Chattanooga)
The Lookouts’ three-hole hitter tallied singles in the first and ninth innings and came around to score both times as Chattanooga walked off against Mobile, 7-6, in 10 innings. The 21-year-old outfielder is batting .243 but owns a .720 OPS through 54 games in his first Double-A exposure. He’ll be looking to get back on track in June after finishing May with a .200 average and four extra-base hits in 30 games.

D-backs: Pavin Smith, 1B (No. 16) -- 4-for-4, 2B, 2 R, 2 BB (Double-A Jackson)
Making his ninth career start in the outfield, Smith, normally a first baseman, reached base in all six of his plate appearances to help lead Jackson past Birmingham, 14-12, in 10 innings. Smith, the No. 7 overall pick from the 2017 Draft, collected four of his team’s 20 hits, one of which was his 12th double of the season. The 23-year-old has eight hits over his last three games, during which he’s improved his overall season average from .216 to .244.

Dodgers: Edwin Rios, 3B/1B (No. 12) -- 2-for-3, 2 HR, 5 RBI (Triple-A Oklahoma City)
Rios extended his hitting streak to five games with a multi-homer performance, the seventh of his career. The 25-year-old corner infielder went deep in the second and fifth innings, hitting both shots off of Cardinals right-hander Alex Reyes. Rios’ second homer was a three-run shot and helped net him a season high in RBIs. With eight homers in 50 games this season, the former sixth-round pick (2015) is on pace to surpass his power totals from 2018, when he hit 10 homers in 88 games for OKC. Rios’ career-high mark for home runs in 27, which he achieved over 108 games in 2016 across three levels.

Giants: Seth Corry, LHP (No. 25) -- 5 1/3 IP, 4 H, 2 R (0 ER), 2 BB, 6 K (Class A Augusta)
Corry, a 2017 third-round pick from the Utah prep ranks, matched his career high by tossing 5 1/3 frames en route to his first full-season win for the GreenJackets. The 20-year-old lefty allowed a pair of unearned runs while throwing 51 of 83 pitches for strikes in the outing. In his first full season, Corry has pitched to a 2.49 ERA with 65 strikeouts in 43 1/3 innings.

Padres: Edward Olivares, OF (No. 20) -- 4-for-4, 2B, R (Double-A Amarillo)
The four hits were are a season high for Olivares, who’s turned in four multihit efforts in his last six games for the Sod Poodles. He improved his season average from .255 to .271 with Sunday’s performance, and he’s now accrued 13 doubles and eight homers in 48 games this season. Acquired from the Blue Jays in a January 2018 trade for Yangervis Solarte, Olivares, 23, earned a post on the Padres’ 40-man roster in November after a 2018 campaign in which he batted .277/.321/.429 with 47 extra-base hits (12 HR) and 21 steals over 129 games in the Class A Advanced California League.

Rockies: Ryan Vilade, SS (No. 8) -- 2-for-3, 3B, RBI, R (Class A Adv Lancaster)
The 2018 second-rounder was one of three players to collect multiple hits for the JetHawks on Sunday, one of which was his third triple of the season. After getting off to a hot start in April (.295/.389/.368), Vilade failed to hit .200 over 23 games in May, though he still reached base at a .359 clip. Scouts expect the 20-year-old to eventually hit for both average and power a he grows into his impressive 6-foot-2, 190-plus pound frame.
