Here's a look at Wednesday's top Minor League performers from each team's Top 30 Prospects list:

AMERICAN LEAGUE EAST

Blue Jays: Eric Pardinho, RHP (No. 4, No. 99 in MLB) -- 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 5 K (Rookie-level GCL Blue Jays)
Pardinho's season debut couldn't have gone much better as he threw 21 of his 33 pitches for strikes and retired six of the first seven batters he faced. The 18-year-old, whom the Blue Jays signed out of Brazil in 2017, features a low-to-mid-90s fastball, a plus curveball and his feel for pitching is also advanced for his age. Pardinho threw just 50 innings last year in his professional debut, but he certainly impressed as he struck out 64 and posted a 2.88 ERA.

Orioles: Ryan Mountcastle, 1B (No. 2, No. 55 in MLB) -- 2-for-4, HR, RBI (Triple-A Norfolk)
Mountcastle extended his hitting streak to five games and lifted his average up to .311 with his third straight two-hit effort. The 22-year-old also hit his 13th homer of the season, a solo blast in the third inning, matching his total from a season ago. The 2015 first-round pick has had no trouble getting on base as a pro and is a career .292 hitter through 466 games.

Rays: Wander Franco, SS (No. 1, No. 1 in MLB) -- 3-for-4, 2 RBI (Class A Advanced Charlotte)
Franco is just 18 years old and the youngest player in the Florida State League, but his age certainly doesn't seem to be holding him back. The switch-hitter is 5-for-7 through two games with the Stone Crabs and showing why he's the No. 1 prospect in all of baseball. Prior to his promotion to Charlotte, Franco was on fire for Class A Bowling Green and slashed .318/.390/.506 through 62 games.

Red Sox: Danny Diaz, 3B (No. 13) -- 3-for-5, 2B, 3B (GCL Red Sox)
The 18-year-old, whom the Red Sox signed in 2017, is off to a strong start in his stateside debut. Diaz has only played three games, but he’s already showing off his bat speed and is 4-for-11 at the plate with a trio of extra-base hits. Diaz debuted last year in the DSL, but played in just 26 games before he broke the hamate bone in his left hand.

Yankees: Harold Cartijo, RHP (No. 29) -- 6 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 3 K (Class A Charleston)
Cartijo, whom the Yankees selected in the 14th round of the 2017 Draft, began his career as a reliever, but pitched out of the rotation last year in his full-season debut and is starting again this season. So far, so good. The 20-year-old has made four starts for the RiverDogs and pitched to a 2.05 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 22 innings. Cartijo has also shown solid control and issued just six walks.

AMERICAN LEAGUE CENTRAL

Indians: Will Benson, OF (No. 25) -- 1-for-3, HR, RBI (Class A Advanced Lynchburg)
Benson has gone deep 20 times this season and is closing in on his career high of 22 after Wednesday’s blast for the Hillcats. The 21-year-old, a 2016 first-round pick, hit just .180 over 123 games last year, but looks like a completely different player in 2019. Benson got off to a fast start this year with Class A Lake County and hit .272 with 18 homers in 62 games, prompting the Indians to promote him to Lynchburg, where he’s homered twice in six games.

Royals: No Royals prospects had noteworthy performances in the Minors on Wednesday.

Tigers: Anthony Castro, RHP (No. 21) -- 5.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 7 K (Double-A Erie); Daz Cameron, OF (No. 5) -- 4-for-5, 4 R, HR, 2B, RBI (Triple-A Toledo)
Runs are certainly hard to come by these days against Castro, who has yielded one earned run or fewer in four straight starts. The 24-year-old has lowered his ERA by more than a full run, down to 4.08, over the past month. While Castro has a solid three-pitch mix that can clearly get outs, he does have spotty command, which was seen Wednesday as he issued a season-high four walks. Cameron had been in a bit of a slump earlier this month, but Wednesday's outing was just another in a string of solid performances for the rebounding outfielder. During his five-game hitting streak, Cameron has raised his batting average 20 points, and his homer was his eighth of the season and first since June 4.The son of former Major Leaguer Mike, Daz has struggled since his leap to the Triple-A level after batting .285 in 200 Double-A at-bats last season.

Twins: Brent Rooker, 1B/OF (No. 7) -- 1-for-4, HR, RBI (Triple-A Rochester)
Rooker entered play 1-for-12 over his past four games and while a 1-for-4 showing doesn’t exactly qualify as breaking out of a slump, the 24-year-old surely enjoyed hitting his 12th homer of the season. The Mississippi State product, a 2017 Draft pick, is hitting .285 this season and despite the recent skid, is still hitting .349 in June.

White Sox: Steele Walker, OF (No. 10) -- 3-for-5, 2B, 2 RBI (Class A Advanced Winston-Salem)
Walker has been red-hot offensively in June and that trend continued with his latest three-hit performance. The 22-year-old is hitting .338 this month, has raised his batting average 50 points this month and is working on a nine-game hitting streak. Walker, a 2018 second-round pick, hit .209 in his professional debut, but he is clearly adjusting to pro ball as he’s hitting .307 this season.

AMERICAN LEAGUE WEST

A’s: Gus Varland, RHP (No. 22) -- 7 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K (Class A Advanced Stockton)
Varland retired 13 of the first 15 batters he faced, threw 57 of his 89 pitches for strikes and cruised through the longest start of his career. The 2018 Draft pick (14th round) impressed in his pro debut last year and is throwing well again in his full-season debut. Varland pitched to a 0.95 ERA over 38 innings last year and this year he’s only made four starts, but he’s yielded one run or fewer in three of them and struck out 23 over 22 1/3 innings.

Angels: Jahmai Jones, 2B (No. 3) -- 2-for-3, RBI (Double-A Mobile)
Jones struggled out of the gate and was hitting .179 at the end of May, but is slowly starting to turn his season around. The 21-year-old is hitting .244 in June and has bumped his average up to .199. Jones has the tools to be a solid hitter, but he was converted from being an outfielder to a second baseman last season and the position shift may have had an impact of his offense.

Astros: Jose Urquidy, RHP (No. 29) -- 6 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 9 K (Triple-A Round Rock)
Make that four straight quality starts for Urquidy, who has pitched to a 2.89 ERA through eight games at the Triple-A level. The 24-year-old began the season with Double-A Corpus Christi and was promoted after striking out 40 over 33 innings. Urquidy has fared well at the Triple-A level as well and struck out the side in the first inning on Wednesday.

Mariners: Cal Raleigh, C (No. 13) -- 3-for-4, 2 HR, 3 RBI (Class A Advanced Modesto)
Raleigh put his power on display with a solo homer in the fourth and a two-run blast in the eighth, bringing his season total to 12. The two-homer performance was the second of the year for Raleigh, a third-round pick from last year's Draft. The 22-year-old switch-hitter has an advanced approach at the plate and has raw power from both sides. In his 2018 professional debut, Raleigh hit .288 with eight homers in 38 games.

NATIONAL LEAGUE EAST

Braves: Joey Wentz, LHP (No. 9) -- 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 8 K (Double-A Mississippi)
Wentz had surrendered nine runs over his past two starts (10 innings), but bounced back with his third scoreless start of the season. The 21-year-old, a 2016 first-round Draft pick, did match his season high with four walks, but the free passes didn't come back to haunt him as he set a season high with eight strikeouts. Wentz has struggled a bit this season and has a 5.05 ERA through 15 starts, but when everything's working his three-pitch mix (fastball, curveball and changeup) is very effective.

Marlins: Joe Dunand, SS (No. 23) -- 3-for-4, 2B, RBI (Double-A Jacksonville)
Dunand’s first full season at the Double-A level isn’t going all that well, but he did match his season high with three hits in Jacksonville’s win over Montgomery. Dunand, who is Alex Rodriguez’s nephew, was picked in the second round of the 2017 Draft out of North Carolina State and is hitting .232 through 73 games this season. The 23-year-old hit .239 last year in his pro debut.

Mets: Francisco Alvarez, C (No. 12) -- 2-for-3, HR, RBI (GCL Mets)
Alvarez, a 2018 international signee, is off to a fast start in his professional career. The 17-year-old Venezuela native hit his first professional homer on Wednesday and has multiple hits in each of his first two games. Alvarez is 4-for-7 to begin his career and three of those hits have gone for extra-bases (two doubles and a homer).

Phillies: Adam Haseley, OF (No. 3) -- 2-for-5, 3B, HR, 2 RBI (Double-A Reading)
Haseley got a chance to make his Major League debut and pick up his first career hit earlier this season, but after just two games with the Phillies, he found himself on the injured list with a left groin strain. The 23-year-old outfielder is working his way back to Philadelphia and his second rehab game went pretty well, as he hit his eighth homer of the season and showed off some speed with his second triple.

Nationals: Telmito Agustin, OF (No. 10) -- 1-for-4, HR, RBI (Class A Advanced Potomac)
Agustin has homered in two of the past five games and also has hits in five of his past six games. The 22-year-old is hitting .240 through 65 games this season and coming off a 2018 campaign where he hit .273 over 81 games across two levels. The Nationals signed Agustin out of the Virgin Islands in 2013.

NATIONAL LEAGUE CENTRAL

Brewers: Jake Gatewood, 1B (No. 28) -- 2-for-4, HR, RBI (Double-A Biloxi)
Gatewood isn’t having the best season at the plate and is hitting .155 through 38 games, but Wednesday's game was a bright spot as he hit his sixth homer and turned in his first multihit performance since June 7. The 41st overall pick from the 2014 Draft has long had impressive power, but he also has a lot of swing-and-miss to his game and has struck out over 100 times in each of the past four seasons. Gatewood, who struck out twice on Wednesday, has fanned 60 times in 37 games so far this season.

Cardinals: Andrew Knizner, C (No. 3) -- 2-for-5, HR, 4 RBI (Triple-A Memphis)
Knizner set a season high for RBIs, three of which came via his sixth homer of the season. The 24-year-old catcher has hits in four straight games and has fared well in his first full-season at the Triple-A level. Knizner is hitting .277 through 46 games and also made his Major League debut earlier this season. During his stint with the Cardinals, the North Carolina State product appeared in two games and went 0-for-7.

Cubs: Trent Giambrone, 2B/SS (No. 20) -- 2-for-4, 2B, HR, 2 RBI (Triple-A Iowa)
Giambrone began the day in a 2-for-16 skid, but got back on track against Omaha with a pair of extra-base hits, including his 16th homer of the season. The 2016 25th-round pick hit .251 last year at Double-A and is hitting .223 through 73 games in his first Triple-A experience.

Pirates: Rodolfo Castro, INF (No. 27) -- 3-for-4, 2 HR, 3 RBI (Class A Advanced Bradenton)
Castro is now up to a 14 home runs on the season -- adding onto his career-best mark -- after his third multi-homer game of 2019. The blasts were also Castro’s first with Bradenton as he began the season with Class A Greensboro, where he hit .242 through 61 games before a recent promotion. Since being bumped up to Bradenton, Castro, who signed with the Pirates out of the Dominican Republic in 2015, has hits in four of the six games he’s played.

Reds: Tyler Stephenson, C (No. 5) -- 3-for-4, HR, 3 RBI (Double-A Chattanooga)
Stephenson hit his fourth homer of the year -- a solo shot in the ninth inning -- and is hitting .270 through 49 games. The 22-year-old, a 2015 first-round pick, is more advanced defensively than offensively at this point in his career but has made strides with the bat. Injuries hampered Stephenson's 2017 campaign and he hit .250 over 109 games last season.

D-backs: Geraldo Perdomo, SS (No. 5) -- 3-for-4, 2B, RBI (Class A Kane County)
The 19-year-old, whom the D-backs signed out of the Dominican Republic in 2016, may be the best defensive player in Arizona’s farm system, but he’s not too shabby with the bat either. Perdomo hit .322 across three levels last season and is hitting .250 through 62 games so far in the current campaign.

Dodgers: Diego Cartaya, C (No. 9) -- 2-for-6, 2 2B, 3 RBI (AZL Dodgers)
Make that back-to-back two hit games for Cartaya, who is off to a fast start and hitting .375 through four games in the Rookie-level AZL. Prior to coming to Arizona, Cartaya, whom the Dodgers signed out of Venezuela last year, played 13 games in the DSL and hit .240 with one homer and nine RBIs. The 17-year-old makes hard contact and has a good feel for the bat, especially for a player yet to turn 18.

Giants: Alexander Canario, OF (No. 10) -- 1-for-4, HR, RBI (AZL Giants)
Another day, another homer for Canario. The 19-year-old signed with the Giants for $60,000 out of the Dominican Republic in 2016 and so far that’s looking like a pretty sound investment. Canario’s swing can get long when he sells out for power, but he doesn’t need to do so as he has plenty of natural pop -- something he’s been demonstrating out in Arizona. Canario has hit five homers in the past five games and eight of his 11 hits this season have gone for extra bases. Giants prospects stats »

Padres: MacKenzie Gore, LHP (No. 1, No. 3 in MLB) -- 6.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 9 K (Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore); Joey Cantillo, LHP (No. 30) -- 8 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 9 K (Class A Fort Wayne)
These sort of stat lines are becoming routine for Gore, who has been one of the best pitchers in the Minors this season. The 20-year-old, who has pitched to a 1.12 ERA over 14 starts, has racked up nine strikeouts in back-to-back outings and surrendered one earned run or fewer in 13 of his 14 starts. Cantillo doesn't get the same attention that Gore does, but he's also been dominant this season. The 19-year-old has a 1.71 ERA through 13 starts and has amassed 82 strikeouts in 63 innings. What's perhaps most impressive is that Cantillo has held opponents scoreless in three straight starts (19 innings) and has yielded just one run over his last 30 innings.

Rockies: Brian Mundell, 1B (No. 29) -- 2-for-3, 2B, HR, 2 RBI (Triple-A Albuquerque)
Mundell hit his sixth homer of the season and continued his tremendous offensive season. Albeit in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League, Mundell has adjusted quite well to life at the Triple-A level and is hitting .367 through 57 games after hitting .263 with Double-A Hartford last season. A 2015 seventh-round pick out of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Mundell has an advanced approach at the plate and uses the whole field well. Rockies prospects stats »
