Here's MLB Pipeline's roundup of the top prospect performances in the Minor Leagues on Tuesday.
MJ Melendez, Nick Pratto and Kyle Isbel all collected two hits to support a scoreless start from Jackson Kowar as Class A Lexington defeated Lakewood, 5-2, in Game 2 of the South Atlantic League finals.
The victory comes one day after the Legends squandered a five-run lead in the ninth inning to drop the opener, 6-5.
Melendez, Kansas City's No. 5 prospect, connected on a solo shot in the first inning to put Lexington on the board, and Pratto (No. 6) extended the lead two innings later when he plated Isbel (No. 14) with an RBI single.

Melendez and Pratto -- the Royals' first- and second-round picks from the 2017 Draft -- would come through again in the seventh, with both 19-year-olds delivering RBI singles en route to a three-run frame. Melendez finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs, while Pratto reached three times, hit a double and stole a base as part of a 2-for-3 showing. Isbel, Kansas City's third-round pick from June, went 2-for-4 and scored two runs out of the leadoff spot.
Pacing the Legends on the mound was Kowar (No. 4), who tossed five scoreless frames, matching his career high, en route to his second win as many postseason starts. He allowed just two hits, walked one and struck out five while throwing 46 of his 69 pitches for strikes.

• No. 27 overall prospectJustus Sheffield (Yankees' No. 1) earned the win out of the bullpen as he helped lead Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre over Durham, 3-2, to kick off the best-of-5 Governors' Cup. The 22-year-old left-hander entered in the fourth inning in relief of Domingo German, and proceeded to allow one earned run on three hits over three frames. He issued one walk, struck out a pair while throwing 42 pitches (28 strikes) in the outing. A potential callup to the Majors once the Minor League season concludes, Sheffield posted a 1.35 ERA and 0.90 WHIP in 13 1/3 innings down the stretch after shifting from the rotation to bullpen.
• No. 37 overall prospect Keibert Ruiz (Dodgers' No. 2) hit a walk-off single in the 10th inning to lead Double-A Tulsa over San Antonio, 3-2, in Game 1 of the Texas League finals. The 20-year-old catcher finished the game 1-for-4 at the plate after hitting .409 (9-for-22) with five RBIs over five games for the Drillers in the semis. Tulsa starter Tony Gonsolin (No. 14) struggled a bit early before settling in and completing a quality start. The 24-year-old right-hander permitted two runs (one earned) on five hits over six innings, issuing two walks and striking out three to go along with nine ground-ball outs.

• No. 60 overall prospect Michel Baez (Padres' No. 7) struggled with his control for San Antonio, issuing four walks and hitting two batters, but still kept his team in the game for 5 2/3 innings. He gave up two earned runs but allowed just one hit and struck out seven in the no-decision. Hudson Potts (No. 23) paced the Missions' offense by hitting a solo home run as part of a 2-for-4 performance. The 19-year-old third baseman went deep 19 times across two levels during the regular season while slashing .260/.335/.455.
• Blue Jays No. 25 prospectForrest Wall delivered a game-winning, two-run single in the top of the 10th inning as Double-A New Hampshire edged Akron, 3-1, in the first game of the Eastern League finals. The 22-year-old center fielder was the lone Fisher Cat to collect multiple hits in the victory, finishing 2-for-4. Right-hander T.J. Zeuch (No. 15) kept Akron's offense in check with six innings of one-run ball in his second quality start of the postseason. He scattered four hits, walked four and struck out four while throwing 50 of 86 pitches for strikes.

• Brewers No. 4 prospect Lucas Erceg, Troy Stokes Jr. (No. 15) and Trent Grisham (No. 19) each collected two hits, including a double, and collectively scored four runs as Double-A Biloxi blanked Jackson, 7-0, in the opener of the Southern League finals. Stokes and Grisham both finished 2-for-5 after initially putting the Shuckers on the board with back-to-back doubles in the first inning. Erceg extended Biloxi's lead in the sixth with a two-run double that highlighted a 2-for-4 performance.

• D-backs No. 5 prospect Daulton Varsho and Drew Ellis (No. 9) both hit solo home runs as Class A Advanced Visalia fell to Rancho Cucamonga, 5-4, in Game 1 of the California League finals. Ellis' homer, a seventh-inning shot, marked his only hit in a 1-for-4 performance. Varsho, on the other hand, went 2-for-3 and also reached once via a walk.
