Here's MLB Pipeline's roundup of the top prospect performances in the Minor Leagues on Tuesday.
Royals prospects MJ Melendez (No. 5) and Brewer Hicklen (No. 21) combined for five hits and four RBIs, but it wasn't enough to scratch out a win as Class A Lexington fell, 5-4, to Augusta.

Melendez, who finished 2-for-4, hit a pair of solo homers in the game, while Hicklen hit his 16th homer of the year as part of a 3-for-4 effort.
The two-homer game is the second such performance for Melendez, who now has 19 homers through 107 games in his full-season debut. The 2017 second-round pick went deep in the first and fifth innings and has been nearly impossible for pitches to retire over the past three games.
Including Tuesday's performance, Melendez is 7-for-14 with three homers and six RBIs over that span. Overall, the 19-year-old is hitting .255. However, he's bounced back from a rough July -- during which he hit just .186 -- and is 27-for-86 (.313) in August, his best month so far this season.

As for Hicklen, he's hitting .308 in his full-season debut and the three-hit night was his seventh of the season.
Other top prospect performances from Tuesday's action:
•  No. 8 overall prospect Kyle Tucker (Astros' No. 2) continued his home barrage with 24th blast of the year as part of a 1-for-3 night with Triple-A Fresno. Tucker has been absolutely on fire lately, going deep 10 times in his past 10 games. Tucker struggled during a brief callup with the Astros earlier this season, but is hitting .327 through 95 games with Fresno and is likely to get another stint with the Astros once the Grizzlies' season concludes.
• No. 9 overall prospect Bo Bichette (Blue Jays' No. 2) hit his 11th homer of the season and finished 3-for-5 in his third straight multihit game for Double-A New Hampshire. Bichette, 20, hit a two-run homer in the third and is 7-for-12 over his past three games. Overall, the 2016 second-round pick is hitting .283 through a career-high 125 games.

• No. 74 overall prospect Touki Toussaint (Braves' No. 7) continued his hot stretch with another strong performance for Triple-A Gwinnett. The 22-year-old struck out seven over six innings and gave up one unearned run on three hits. Since impressing in his Major League debut (one run over six innings) on Aug. 13, Toussaint has made three starts for the Stripers, giving up one earned run over 19 frames.

•  No. 80 overall prospect Kyle Lewis (Mariners' No. 1) homered for the second time in as many nights with Double-A Arkansas. Lewis followed up Monday's 3-for-4 performance with a 2-for-5 night that included his ninth homer of the season -- a three-run blast off Michael Wacha. Lewis is having a rough season at the plate, but perhaps he is on the verge of a strong finish.
• Angels No. 20 prospect Patrick Sandoval racked up the strikeouts in his third start for Double-A Mobile. Sandoval, 21, gave up three hits and struck out eight over four scoreless innings, lowering his ERA to 1.23 with the BayBears. The lefty has made three appearances with Mobile and has struck out 21, while giving up two runs over 14 2/3 innings.
•  Athletics No. 12 prospect Richie Martin isn't exactly known as a home-run hitter -- his power is graded as a 30 on the 20-80 scouting scale -- but he seems to have found a bit of a power stroke lately. Martin hit a three-run homer as part of a 1-for-2 night with Double-A Midland and although he only has six homers this season, three of those have come over the past five games. The six homers through 113 games are also a career mark for Martin, who went deep just four times in 109 games last year.

•  Indians No. 24 prospect Eric Haase took a couple of trots around the bases as he turned in his third two-homer game of the year for Triple-A Columbus. Haase, who hit a career-high 27 homers in 2017, now has 20 blasts this season. The catcher, who finished 2-for-4, hit a two-run homer in the second inning and a solo shot in the fifth. Both homers proved to be vital as the Clippers topped Louisville, 7-6.
• Phillies No. 20 prospect David Parkinson was lights-out over six innings for Class A Advanced Clearwater. The lefty, who was promoted to Clearwater on Aug. 2, gave up one run on four hits and struck out nine. Parkinson has a 1.24 ERA through five starts with the Threshers and has surrendered one earned run or less in four of those outings.
• Red Sox No. 21 prospect Jhonathan Diaz cruised through eight innings for Class A Greenville. The lefty, who has allowed one earned run or less in six of his past seven starts, surrendered just one run but was stuck with a no-decision as the game was tied when he departed. Diaz gave up four hits, issued two walks and kept the damage minimal. With the strong outing, Diaz lowered his ERA to 3.14, the lowest it's been since mid-April.
•  Rockies No. 29 prospect Bret Boswell turned in his fourth two-homer game of the season for Class A Advanced Lancaster. Boswell got off to a fast start with a solo homer in the first and then went deep again in the third. The 2017 Draft pick (eighth round) is hitting .330 through 25 games with Lancaster and has hit 26 homers through 121 games across two levels in his full-season debut.
•  White Sox No. 19 prospect Kodi Medeiros was stuck with a no-decision, but put together another quality start for Double-A Birmingham. Medeiros, who was traded from the Brewers in late July, has yet to pick up a win with his new organization, but has put together quality starts, giving up a total of three earned runs over his past three outings. The lefty threw 68 of his 98 pitches for strikes and issued just one walk. He did give up a trio of runs, however only one was earned. Medeiros also struck out eight in the six-inning performance.
