PHOENIX -- D-backs manager Torey Lovullo was back at Chase Field on Saturday after missing Friday's win over the Giants due to illness.
Bench coach Jerry Narron managed in Lovullo's absence.
"Yesterday, I came to the ballpark and I just was off," Lovullo said. "I wasn't feeling good. I didn't know what it was. The trainers just got a look at me and thought it would be a good idea if I went to the doctor just to make sure everything was all right."
Lovullo said it felt like he had a chicken bone stuck in the middle of his stomach, but had a number of tests run at the hospital before being released around 7:30 p.m. MST.
"I got a clean bill of health," Lovullo said.
Lovullo went home and watched the rest of the D-backs game on television.
"It's hard to watch because I feel like I should be there and that I'm playing hooky, so it's hard in that way," Lovullo said. "But I know the coaches are equipped and we have a great game plan, a great group and they were running it the same way I would and the players were responding."
Still, Lovullo was happy to be back around his players and at the ballpark Saturday.
"I feel great," he said.
20th Anniversary Celebration
The D-backs honored their 20th Anniversary Team prior to Saturday's game. Franchise icons like Luis Gonzalez, Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling were in attendance as was original managing general partner Jerry Colangelo.
The team also staged its annual Alumni Game in the afternoon, which drew a large crowd.

"This has been a fun weekend, especially having Randy and Curt here," Gonzalez said. "It's pretty big to the organization to have them here and all the other guys that came out to be a part of this, it's pretty special. In 20 years, a lot has happened to the organization. To see all the fans out here, too. I mean, three or four hours before the game and we had a pretty packed house."
