Torii Hunter Makes Young Fan's Wish Come True

There have been several feel-good stories in baseball recently. From Matt Kemp’s efforts to aid Oklahoma tornado victims to Robinson Cano visiting our very own MLB Fan Cave to surprise a young fan with ALL, Torii Hunter now joins that list of generous ballplayers.

Partnering with Make-a-Wish Foundation, Torii played catch with a young fan with leukemia before Thursday night’s game against the Minnesota Twins. The kid isn’t just any fair-weather fan either. His first name, Hunter, is named after the outfielder by his parents who are huge Twins fans, driving all the way from Minnesota to make sure this moment happened.

See, guys like Torii get it. They use their spotlight and platform to give back to those who need it the most. His act of kindness will leave a lasting impact on this young fan’s life and inspire others to make a difference.
