Twins agree to terms with Matt Capps on one-year contract for 2012

Deal includes club option for 2013

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have agreed to terms with right-handed pitcher Matt Capps on a one-year contract for the 2012 season with a club option for 2013.

He was 4-7, 4.25 ERA (65.2 ip, 31 er) with 15 saves, allowing 13 walks with 34 strikeouts in 69 games with the Twins last season.

Capps, 28, has 124 career saves over 414 Major League appearances with Pittsburgh, Washington and Minnesota.

The Twins now have 39 players on their 40-man roster.
