Twins claim outfielder Kenny Wilson off waivers from Toronto

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have claimed outfielder Kenny Wilson off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays and optioned him to Double-A New Britain. In 15 games with Double-A New Hampshire this season, Wilson hit .210 (13-for-62) with one double, one triple, one home run, eight RBI and two stolen bases.

The 24-year-old was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the second round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft. He has hit .228 (423-for-1852) with 75 doubles, 20 triples, 13 home runs, 149 RBI, 214 walks, 196 stolen bases and 297 runs scored in 505 career minor league games in parts of seven seasons, all in the Blue Jay's organization.

The Twins now have a full 40-man roster.
