Twins-Tribe postponed; DH today

Traditional twin bill to begin at 4:10 p.m. ET; tickets from Tuesday good for both games

CLEVELAND -- The Indians and Twins postponed Tuesday's scheduled game at Progressive Field after a 1-hour, 10-minute rain delay without a first pitch. The teams will play a traditional doubleheader on Wednesday, with first pitch scheduled for 4:10 p.m. ET.

Carlos Carrasco will start Game 1 against Kyle Gibson, with the Indians' scheduled starter from Tuesday, Cody Anderson, pitching Game 2 against Mike Pelfrey. Game 2 will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1.

Minnesota sits 1.5 games back of the Angels for the second Wild Card spot in the American League. Cleveland, still mathematically alive, sits five games back of the Angels. Any combination of Indians losses and Angels victories adding up to two over the rest of the season would officially eliminate the Indians from postseason contention.

Tickets for Tuesday's game are good for both games of Wednesday's doubleheader, and gates will open at 3:30 p.m. ET. Fans can visit the Progressive Field ticket office on Wednesday to exchange their Sept. 29 ticket for a Sept. 30 ticket.
