The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have optioned right-handed pitcher Fernando Romero to Triple-A Rochester. Romero made 10 starts for the Twins, going 3-3 with a 4.38 ERA (51.1 IP, 25 ER), 19 walks and 44 strikeouts.
To replace Romero on the 25-man roster the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Alan Busenitz from Triple-A Rochester. Busenitz, who pitched in four games for the Twins in April, appeared in 15 games for the Red Wings recently, going 2-0 with a 1.05 ERA (25.2 IP, 3 ER), four walks, 29 strikeouts and two saves.
