Twins place Baker on 15-day disabled list and option Marquis to New Britain

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Scott Baker on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to March 27) with a right elbow strain and have optioned right-handed pitcher Jason Marquis to Double-A New Britain.
In addition, the Twins have selected the contracts of right-handed pitcher Jared Burton and infielder Sean Burroughs from Triple-A Rochester.
