Twins to recall left-handed pitcher Logan Darnell

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced tonight that they will recall left-handed pitcher Logan Darnell from Triple-A Rochester prior to tomorrow's game vs. Chicago-AL. Darnell will be making his second stint with the Twins this season and first major league start of his career. He appeared in one game May 6 at Cleveland throwing 3.0 scoreless innings in relief with one strikeout. The 6-2, 210-pound lefthander has made 17 starts for Triple-A Rochester this season, posting a 5-5 record with a 3.43 ERA (94.1 IP, 36 ER).

To make room for Darnell on the 25-man roster, the Twins have optioned infielder Jorge Polanco to Double-A New Britain. Polanco has two hits in five at-bats (.400) with a double, triple and two walks in four games for the Twins this season.
