Two Minor League players suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Chicago White Sox Minor League first baseman Telvin Nash has received a 50-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Amphetamine, a stimulant in violation of the Program. The suspension of Nash, who is currently on the roster of the Single-A Winston-Salem Dash of the Carolina League, is effective immediately.
Free agent Minor League right-handed pitcher Oliver Suero has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program. The suspension of Suero will be effective immediately upon his signing with another Major League organization.
