'Two minutes with ...' O's outfielder Nolan Reimold
SARASOTA, Fla. -- The "Two minutes with ..." spring series continues with outfielder Nolan Reimold. Reimold is coming off two consecutive season-ending neck surgeries and has been going to the O's Minor League complex to get some additional at-bats. The 30-year-old Reimold is 5-for-20 in seven spring games entering Sunday's game, in which he was the Orioles' starting designated hitter.
Favorite food: Steak.
Favorite movie: "Gladiator." That's probably the best one.
Special talent: Basketball. I was going to [play in college], my brother gave their coach my tape and the story is my baseball coach didn't want me to play. I don't know if that's a true story, but that's what he told me. I was always basketball growing up, never really switched until I went to college for baseball instead of basketball. Skills erode quickly though, and I haven't played in years.
If I wasn't a baseball player I'd be ... Just trying to survive.
Favorite offseason place: Home and home-home. I don't really go anywhere besides those two places. [Reimold lives in the Jacksonville area and is from western Pennsylvania.)
Prized possession: My iPad.
