It may not have been Tyler Glasnow's most efficient start of the season, but the Pirates' No. 1 prospect still proved to be unhittable.
Glasnow fired six no-hit innings on Friday in Triple-A Indianapolis' 4-0 loss against Charlotte. He recorded six strikeouts but also walked a season-high six batters in the outing, throwing 51 of his 97 pitches for strikes.
Glasnow, No. 8 on the Top 100, faced the minimum through the first two innings before running into trouble in the third, when he issued a pair of two-out walks en route to throwing 22 pitches. But the right-hander would settle in after that, as he allowed just three hitters to reach base over his final three frames.

After his no-hit performance, Glasnow is now leading the International League with 92 strikeouts and ranks second among all qualified hurlers with a 1.75 ERA. On top of that, he's held opposing hitters to a .187 average while giving up only three home runs in 77 innings.
But Glasnow's control and command have regressed this year in his first extended exposure at the Triple-A level, leading to the 22-year-old right-hander walking 4.9 batters per nine innings -- his worst mark since his 2013 full-season debut. He's struggled to pitch deep into games as a result, completing seven innings just once in his 14 starts this season.
All that said, Glasnow remains just a few improvements away from joining Jameson Taillon in the Pirates' starting rotation.
