VandenHurk Claimed by Indians

RHP RICK VANDENHURK has been claimed on outright waivers by the Cleveland Indians.

VANDENHURK, 26, was signed by the Blue Jays as a free agent on February 22, 2012. In four spring relief appearances, the Eindhoven, Netherlands native posted a 0-1 record with a 9.95 ERA in 6.1 innings (6.1IP, 10H, 7ER, 6BB, 3K). The 6-5, 217 pound right-hander has appeared in 46 Major League games, including 35 starts for Florida and Baltimore, recording an 8-10 mark with a 5.97 ERA.“

The Blue Jays now have 40 players remaining in Major League camp.
