Ventura keeping tabs on Quintana, Santiago

KANSAS CITY -- White Sox manager Robin Ventura hasn't set an innings limit for Hector Santiago and Jose Quintana. But Ventura said the young left-handed starters will be monitored as Chicago heads down the stretch.

Quintana has thrown 150 innings (136 1/3 last year in his first Major League season) while Santiago has gone 123 2/3 innings (after logging 70 1/3 in 2012).

"You see how they pitch and how they are feeling," Ventura said. "If they get to the point where they look fatigued in September, then you could probably mix in a couple of other guys who get called up. Again, it's just being aware."
