Fan-Tastic Forty "Welcome to the Big Leagues" winner Jack Kalman set to join the Brewers tomorrow

Kalman to receive MLB player salary for a day and a full personalized Brewers uniform

MILWAUKEE, WI – In January, the Brewers kicked off their “Fan-Tastic Forty” promotion and awarded prizes for 40 consecutive days to various Season Seat Holders who renewed their ticket packages. For the second consecutive year, the team offered a variety of unique prizes and experiences during a 40-day period, including the Welcome to the Big Leagues prize. For this experience, the winner would sign a one-day Major League contract complete with a full uniform plus one day’s pay at the MLB minimum salary.

Jack Kalman, a Brewers Season Seat Holder since 1975, won the Welcome to the Big Leagues prize. He grew up in Cudahy, Wisconsin and currently resides in Franklin with his wife, Vicki. Jack is a retired kitchen cabinet manufacturer who owned and operated Style-Line Manufacturing in West Allis for 34 years.

Kalman started going to baseball games at Milwaukee County Stadium at age 12 and he attended World Series games in 1957 when the Milwaukee Braves became World Champions. Kalman has never missed an Opening Day game of the Milwaukee Braves or Brewers. In 1982, he went to all 81 regular season games and all seven World Series games.

In addition to the salary and uniform, Kalman will be able to park in the VIP lot prior to tomorrow’s game vs. the Toronto Blue Jays and will throw out the first pitch prior to the game.
