Sonny Gray's highly anticipated debut in pinstripes highlights an action-packed slate of games streaming live today on MLB.TV.
Gray, acquired by the Yankees from the A's prior to Monday's non-waiver Trade Deadline in exchange for prospects, is scheduled to square off against Corey Kluber and the American League Central-leading Indians in his opening act with New York. Instead of wearing his familiar No. 54, which belongs to closer Albertin Chapman, Gray took No. 55 instead.

"It's something that you can't help but hope it actually happens," Gray said. "Now it is, now I'm here, and Thursday, all I can do is go out there and compete and pitch like I know how to pitch. There's going to be a really good team behind me. It's going to make it a lot of fun."
After beginning the season on the disabled list and taking some time to return to form, Gray has restored order, dominating opposing hitters over his past six outings. The 27-year-old righty is 4-2 with a 1.37 ERA since June 25, holding opponents to a .164 batting average in that span. He should provide a major boost to a Yankees rotation in search of a spark.
Kluber has been consistent throughout the season as one of the top hurlers in the game. The 2015 AL Cy Young Award winner has racked up double-digit strikeouts in over half of his starts in 2017 while averaging nearly seven innings per outing.

First pitch for the intriguing duel is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET at Progressive Field.

Thursday's contest between Tampa Bay and Houston presents an opportunity for each to pick up that first victory. The Astros are all but assured of a postseason berth, while the Rays are in the thick of the AL Wild Card race, well within striking distance of the top seed in the AL East.
Wood's revenge: LAD@ATL, 7:35 p.m.
The Dodgers are putting together a magical 2017 season, and left-hander Alex Wood has played an integral role in the club's success. After beginning the season 11-0, Wood finally lost on July 21 allowing nine runs (seven earned) in 4 2/3 innings versus the Braves, his former team.

Wood rebounded with a victory in his most recent start against the Giants, and now he gets another crack at Atlanta as he tries to avenge his rare rough outing.
