A highly enticing duel between crosstown rivals kicks off the nighttime schedule when the Orioles take the short trip down I-95 to take on the Nationals in Washington, D.C., in the Battle of the Beltways. The Padres meet the Rangers, the Red Sox play the Brewers and the Tigers clash with the D-backs to cap off a slate full of intrigue.

Seattle and Philadelphia do not meet very often. In fact, this is just the fifth meeting between the two franchises. The clubs have played four series against one another since 2003, with the Mariners taking three of the four.
The Phillies won the most recent, however, which happened in 2014. Philadelphia right-hander Zach Eflin (0-0, 2.42) will try to ensure that occurs again this time around as he toes the rubber opposite Seattle righty Yovani Gallardo (1-3, 4.46).
A familiar face: ATL@HOU, 2:10 p.m.
The Braves and Astros are no strangers to each other as Houston was a longtime member of the National League before switching to the American League in 2014. These two clubs have seen one another once since the move, back in 2013 when the Braves took two of three in the series.
The Braves' Jaime Garcia, who is 1-1 with a 3.99 ERA in his first season with Atlanta, is set to oppose the Astros' Joe Musgrove this afternoon. Musgrove attempts to rebound from his shortest outing of the season, a 10-4 loss to the Rangers.
Home away from home: BAL@WSH, 7:05 p.m.
A yearly tradition since 2006, the Orioles and Nationals have seen each other regularly over the past 10 seasons. Baltimore can't be sweating the drive down to Nationals Park too much because the club is 9-3 at Washington since 2012.
This series has already featured a plethora of fun storylines, from Matt Wieters' return to Oriole Park at Camden Yards to former 18-and-under USA Baseball teammates Manny Machado and Bryce Harper looking to outslug one another.
Now Wieters will welcome his former club to his new digs as he and right-hander Stephen Strasburg (3-1, 2.66) test their luck against Wade Miley (1-1, 2.27) and the O's, who are seeking their seventh straight victory.

The Padres are back in Texas for the first time since 2015, when they took two of three from the Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Yu Darvish, who is baffling opposing hitters to the tune of a 3-2 record and 2.76 ERA, faces San Diego's Luis Perdomo (0-0, 4.03).
Former foes meet: BOS@MIL, 8:10 p.m.
The Red Sox have played the Brewers more than any other NL team, in part because Milwaukee was an AL club until moving to the NL in 1998. Boston's Kyle Kendrick will look to improve on his previous outing in which he allowed six earned runs in four innings in a loss to Baltimore. Chase Anderson takes the hill for the Brewers looking to keep his perfect 2-0 record intact.
Funny seeing you: DET@ARI, 9:40 p.m.
Detroit and Arizona have met nine times, all since 2001. The Tigers took two of three from the D-backs when the two clubs met at Chase Field in 2014. Left-hander Matthew Boyd (2-2, 3.78) gets the ball opposite righty Zack Godley, who is making his second start of the season.
