The Bronx Bombers lived up to the nickname over the weekend, executing a three-game sweep of the Orioles at Yankee Stadium while outscoring Baltimore, 38-8.
The Yankees blasted 12 home runs in the weekend series and are riding a five-game win streak as they sit atop the American League East today.
On Sunday, Aaron Judge blasted a mammoth 495-foot shot after ripping a 121.1-mph laser the day before, when five Yankees went deep in a 16-run outburst. Judge blasted a second homer Sunday to add to his Major League-leading total of 21.
The 6-foot-7, 282-pound Judge is filling up the stat sheet on a daily basis and breaking his own Statcast™ records virtually every time he takes the field.

Bronx Bombers take show on road: NYY@LAA, 10:07 p.m.
Judge and the Yankees take the home run show to Anaheim, where they face right-hander Alex Meyer and the Angels. This would be an offensive spectacle for the ages on both sides if Michael Trout were healthy, but watching Jose Pujols go for career homer No. 602 is a nice consolation.
Meyer is coming off consecutive quality starts in which he allowed one earned run over 12 innings. He will try to keep the streak going as he searches for his first win since May 14.
Masahiro Tanaka gets the ball for New York after having his start pushed back a day. The righty has struggled mightily of late, losing his last five starts while seeing his ERA rise from 4.36 to 6.55.

Intrastate rivalry: TEX@HOU, 8:10 p.m.
Fresh off an impressive three-game sweep of the Nationals, the Rangers head to Houston to take on baseball's best team. Texas sends right-hander Yu Darvish (5-4, 3.18 ERA) to the hill looking to keep his club in the win column.
The Astros counter with 24-year-old Joe Musgrove, who returns to the mound after being sidelined with shoulder discomfort. The righty hasn't pitched since May 26 when he held the Orioles scoreless over seven innings to pick up his fourth win of the year.

2015 NLCS rematch: CHC@NYM, 7:10 p.m.
The Cubs and Mets met in the National League Championship Series two years ago, with New York sweeping Chicago to move on to the World Series. The clubs squared off seven times last year and the Mets took five, but the Cubs got the last laugh, going on to win the Fall Classic.
The two teams go head-to-head for the first time in 2017, opening a three-game set at Citi Field tonight. The Cubs turn to John Lackey, who faced the Mets once in 2016 and allowed two runs in 6 1/3 frames. The Mets hand the ball to Jacob deGrom, who earned a win over the Cubs in his only start against them last year with five innings of one-run ball.

Taillon's return: COL@PIT, 7:05 p.m.
Pittsburgh is expected to activate right-hander Jameson Taillon from the 10-day disabled list for the start, after he recovered from surgery for testicular cancer.
It's great news for Taillon, the Pirates, and baseball fans everywhere, as the 25-year-old is one of the more promising hurlers in the National League. He is 2-1 with a 3.31 ERA in six starts this year and will look to return to form against Kyle Freeland (7-3, 3.34) and the Rockies, who own the NL's best record (41-24).

Nats turn to Strasburg: ATL@WSH, 7:05 p.m.
The Nationals are looking to get back to their winning ways after losing three straight to Texas. Washington sends Stephen Strasburg to the hill as it welcomes Atlanta to Nationals Park for a three-game set.
Strasburg has been as steady as they come, completing at least six innings in 11 of his 12 starts while going 7-2 with a 2.80 ERA.
The Braves counter with Mike Foltynewicz, who is coming off back-to-back outings of seven scoreless innings. The 25-year-old allowed just six hits and four walks while striking out 14 in his past two starts.

O's look to right ship: BAL@CWS, 8:10 p.m.
On May 20, the Orioles were 25-16 and sitting pretty atop the AL East. Fast forward to today, and the O's have lost nine straight on the road and are just one game over .500.
Baltimore begins a four-game series with the White Sox attempting to turn things around. The Orioles' pitching staff did not give the club much of a chance in New York over the weekend, but Wade Miley (2-3, 3.27) will try to make sure that doesn't happen tonight.
Twelve-year veteran Mike Pelfrey toes the rubber for the White Sox attempting to rebound from a loss to the Rays in his previous outing, when he surrendered three runs (two earned) in 5 1/3 frames.
