Team to watch
High Class A Salem might have the best trio of prospects anywhere in the Minors with second baseman Yoan Moncada (No. 6 on the MLBPipeline.com Top 100, third baseman Rafael Devers (No. 16) and outfielder Andrew Benintendi (No. 24). That club also features three of the more intriguing sleepers in the system in right-hander Travis Lakins, middle infielder Mauricio Dubon and first baseman Nick Longhi.

New faces
Every prospect on our Red Sox Top 30 already has played for the organization. That said, Lakins pitched just two innings and fellow right-hander Marc Brakeman worked only one in their pro debuts last summer. Left-hander Luis Ysla threw just five frames with his new organization after coming over from the Giants in an August trade for Alejandro de Aza.
On the shelf
After missing the end of last season with a 50-game suspension after testing positive for a banned stimulant, right-hander Michael Kopech broke his pitching hand in an altercation with a teammate this spring and won't be able to join a Minor League club before mid-May. Left-hander Trey Ball, the No. 7 overall pick in 2013, is on the same timetable after barely pitching during Spring Training because of a knee injury. Outfielder Bryce Brentz is out with an oblique injury. All three players are on Minor League disabled lists.
