Team to watch
The Triple-A Memphis Redbirds have the system's two best prospects in outfielder Stephen Piscotty and left-hander Marco Gonzales. Piscotty may have to wait a while to crack the Cardinals' talented outfield, but Gonzales (who won two Division Series games last October), lefty Tim Cooney and righty Sam Tuivailala could bolster the big league pitching staff this summer.

New faces
All of the guys on MLBPipeline.com's Cardinals Top 30 Prospects list played in the system last season. Two of St. Louis' most intriguing young prospects, right-hander Jack Flaherty (a first-round pick last June) and outfielder Magneuris Sierra (the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League batting champ at .386 last summer) will make their full-season debuts with the low Class A Peoria Chiefs.
