Team to watch
Sometimes you feel like a Nut. The Modesto Nuts, the Rockies' affiliate in the Class A Advanced California League, have nine of the organization's Top 30 prospects on their Opening Day roster. Three Nuts - third baseman Ryan McMahon (No. 5), outfielder Raimel Tapia (6) and shortstop/outfielder Rosell Herrera (10) - are in the Top 10. The Asheville Tourists, a level below Modesto, has eight prospects.

New faces
Six from the 2014 Draft will spending their first full season in the organization. Four of that six will be in Asheville, starting with No. 6 prospect, and No. 35 overall pick, Forrest Wall. He's joined by fellow infielder Kevin Padlo (15), outfielder Wes Rogers (28) and pitcher Ryan Castellani (11).

On the shelf
If No. 17 prospect Tyler Anderson had been able to stay healthy, the 2011 first-rounder could've been in the big leagues by now. As good as he was in Double-A in 2014, he suffered his second elbow stress fracture. He's in the process of working his way back and hopefully build himself to the point where re-injury isn't a concern.
