Another outfielder came off the free-agent market on Thursday when the Giants agreed to a three-year deal with Denard Span, which could have a ripple effect on the Hot Stove.

Parra generating interest
The market for Gerardo Parra appears to be gaining steam, and the Rockies are among the teams making a push for the outfielder, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman.
Parra has also been linked to the Nationals, Angels, Royals and Giants this offseason.
However, the Royals brought back Alex Gordon on Wednesday, and the Giants inked Span on Thursday, so that likely affects both clubs' reported interest in Parra.
Parra, who can play all three outfield positions, has won two Gold Glove Awards and is a career .277 hitter over seven big league seasons. He split time with the Brewers and Orioles in 2015, hitting a combined .291 with 14 home runs and 51 RBIs.
Braves looking to deal Swisher
The Braves have spent a significant portion of the offseason attempting to trade Nick Swisher, MLB.com's Mark Bowman reports.
While Atlanta has yet to find a trade partner, the club is reportedly prepared to bring Swisher to Spring Training next month with the hope that he shows he's still capable of producing despite his surgically repaired knees.
If the Braves are able to deal Swisher, they will likely need to cover a majority of the $15 million he is set to earn in 2016, the final year of his contract. It's also possible Atlanta eventually releases the veteran if the club is unable to trade him.
Swisher hit .196 with a .631 OPS over 260 plate appearances between the Braves and Indians in 2015.
Several suitors for Rodney
Fernando Rodney is in active talks with multiple clubs, including the Cubs, Blue Jays, D-backs and Padres, according to SB Nation.
The veteran closer finished last season with the Cubs after being acquired in an August trade with the Mariners. In 64 appearances between both clubs, Rodney posted a 4.74 ERA, converted 16 of 23 save chances and had 58 strikeouts in 62 2/3 innings.
