White Sox add Ozzie Guillen and Orlando Hernandez to roster for World Series Championship Reunion Weekend in July

Saturday Events Feature Parade of Champions and Replica Ring Giveaway

The White Sox announced that former manager Ozzie Guillen and pitcher Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez will join the list of 2005 team members scheduled to appear at the World Series Championship Reunion Weekend, presented by Your Local Ford Stores, on July 17-19.

These additions expand the list of the 2005 World Series Championship team members scheduled to appear, including: first baseman Paul Konerko, third baseman Joe Crede and outfielder Aaron Rowand, among others. A full list of 2005 team members scheduled to attend is available at whitesox.com/reunion.

Additional attending members of the 2005 team will be announced at a later date.

The White Sox also released new information about events and activities scheduled for Reunion Weekend, which begins on Friday, July 17:

As previously announced, Friday night will feature postgame fireworks, presented by Athletico, set to a video tribute commemorating the 2005 World Series run. A postgame concert by Resurrection - A Journey Tribute act - also is scheduled.

On Saturday, July 18, the Parade of Champions, presented by Your Local Ford Stores, will introduce members of the 2005 team as they arrive on the field in Ford vehicles for a special ceremony before the 1:10 p.m. game against Kansas City. Additionally, the first 20,000 fans ages 21 and older will receive a 2005 World Championship Replica Ring, presented by Miller Lite. Members of the championship team also will make appearances in the #SoxSocial Lounges (located near Sections 154 and 524) throughout the game. Additional celebratory activities at the ballpark for Sunday's game will be released at a later date.

On Sunday, July 19, Guillen and Hernandez are scheduled to join the cast of 2005 players at the tribute event at the iconic Chicago Theatre, "A Season to Remember: A Night with the 2005 World Series Champions." On Monday, July 20, Guillen also is scheduled to join a cast of 2005 players along with current players and coaches in the annual Field of Greens Celebrity Golf Tournament, presented by Miller Lite. The tournament gives fans the opportunity to golf with Guillen along with other current and former White Sox team members, with proceeds supporting pediatric cancer research and treatment programs at University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital and Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital. Fans can visit whitesoxcharities.org to register for the fun-filled golf event.
