White Sox announce upcoming series activities
WHAT: Chicago White Sox promotional highlights, giveaways and ceremonial first pitches for the upcoming home series vs. the Los Angeles Angels and the Seattle Mariners. Tickets for all games of both series are available at whitesox.com, the U.S. Cellular Field ticket office and all Ticketmaster locations.
The White Sox are giving fans a special "staycation" offer during Independence Week games with specially-priced tickets and ballpark food items, as well as a variety of additional fan activities. Through this offer, fans have the opportunity to purchase four Upper Reserved tickets, four value hot dogs and four regular Pepsi product fountain sodas for just $44 during any game of the two series. Monday's game will be televised on WCIU-TV. Comcast SportsNet Plus will broadcast Tuesday's game, while Comcast SportsNet Chicago will broadcast Wednesday, Friday and Sunday's games. WGN-TV will broadcast Saturday's game. All games will air on WSCR-AM 670 (The Score), the White Sox flagship radio station, and 97.5 FM ESPN Deportes, the White Sox Spanish-language radio affiliate.

Chicago Bears linebacker Jon Bostic will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Bostic appeared in all 16 games in his first NFL season, with nine starts, 57 tackles, two sacks, one fumble recovery and one interception.

The White Sox will celebrate Independence Day on July 4 with an extended fireworks display at the conclusion of the game, presented by Miller Lite. The White Sox will honor the men and women who serve our country during the game, including a special pregame ceremony with military members taking the field with players.
Fans also have the opportunity to enjoy $1 Vienna Beef hot dogs at the All-Star concession stands and Vienna Beef hot dog vendors.
Lieutenant Commander James Gennari, who received a Bronze Star Medal for heroic and meritorious service, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Gennari is a Fleet Marine Specialist, who has been in the Navy for 28 years, serving in the Navy Nurse Corps in Afghanistan. He received the Bronze Star for his role in helping remove a rocket propelled grenade from a Marine's leg.

Bryce Drew, Valparaiso University men's basketball coach, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. During the 2012-2013 season, Drew guided the Crusaders to their second straight Horizon League regular season title and its first Horizon League Championship crown. He also is the most decorated player in Crusader men's basketball history.

Ceremonial first pitch by former White Sox starting pitcher LaMarr Hoyt
Family Sunday, presented by The University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital, includes free pregame autograph sessions and postgame kids run the bases. Tickets are available for as low as $5 in the Upper Level and $15 in Lower Level, with $10 parking. Additional entertainment includes face painters, balloonists, a caricature artist, magnet art and a photo opportunity with the White Sox Broadcast Dashers.
LaMarr Hoyt, former White Sox starting pitcher, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Hoyt won the 1983 American League Cy Young Award and was a member of the White Sox 1983 AL West championship team. In his eight major league season, Hoyt compiled a record of 98-68 with a 3.99 ERA.
