White Sox Opening Day Double Play on sale Monday, February 16
Fans Gain Early Access to Opening Day Tickets Before Individual Games Go on Sale Through Two-Game Ticket Packages
The Chicago White Sox will offer a limited amount of tickets to the home opener at U.S. Cellular Field through a special Opening Day Double Play package, providing fans with an option to secure those tickets by purchasing tickets to an additional game during the 2015 season. The Opening Day Double Play will be available for a limited time beginning Monday, February 16 only on whitesox.com.
"After an eventful offseason, fans in Chicago are excited for baseball. They can't wait for the season to start and are looking to secure their seats for Opening Day," said Brooks Boyer, senior vice president of sales and marketing. "Many fans have been asking about when they can buy Opening Day tickets, so we wanted to offer early access to a limited amount of tickets for fans to guarantee their spot at the home opener."
Before individual game tickets go on sale on Friday, February 27, fans who buy an Opening Day Double Play can select seats in a variety of seating categories for the first home game on Friday, April 10 against the Minnesota Twins and select a second game from 54 available dates.
Options for the second game of the package include six dates featuring postgame fireworks and 12 Family Sundays, presented by The University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital.
Prices vary depending on seating categories and games selected, but start at $40 per seat for the two-game package. Fans can purchase up to four tickets for each game, while supplies last.
On Friday, February 27 at 10 a.m., individual game tickets go on sale on whitesox.com or by calling 866-SOX-GAME. Tickets will be sold online and by phone only on February 27.
Fans that join the Sox Pride Club, the official online fan club of the White Sox, and members of the Black List, the free and official whitesox.com fan resource for the latest Sox information, will have access to an online pre-sale on February 26.
