CLEVELAND - Following tonight's game at Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox optioned outfielder Adam Engel to Class AAA Charlotte.
Engel, 25, appeared in eight games with the White Sox after being recalled from Charlotte on May 27, going 6-20 (.300) with three runs scored and four stolen bases. He made his major-league debut in game one of a doubleheader on May 27 vs. Detroit.
The White Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow's game against the Indians.
