Following tonight's series finale at Tampa Bay, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Brad Goldberg to Class AAA Charlotte.
Goldberg, 27, made one appearance with the White Sox after being recalled from Charlotte on June 3, allowing four runs over 0.1 IP in his major-league debut that afternoon at Detroit.
Goldberg is 2-1 with a 1.99 ERA (5 ER/22.2 IP), four saves and 22 strikeouts over 17 relief appearances with Charlotte this season.
The White Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow's series opener at Cleveland.
