White Sox option Brent Morel to Class AAA Charlotte

Following today's game vs. Atlanta, the Chicago White Sox optioned third baseman Brent Morel to Class AAA Charlotte.

Morel, 26, is hitting .200 (5-25) with no home runs and one RBI in 12 games over two stints with the White Sox this season. He was batting .283 (71-251) with 20 doubles, five home runs and 40 RBI in 68 games with Charlotte before being recalled by Chicago on July 3.

The Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow night's game vs. Detroit.
