White Sox option Carson Fulmer to Class AAA Charlotte

Following tonight's game at Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Carson Fulmer to Class AAA Charlotte.

CLEVELAND - Following tonight's game at Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Carson Fulmer to Class AAA Charlotte.
Fulmer, 22, went 0-2 with a 8.49 ERA (11 ER/11.2 IP) and 10 strikeouts over eight relief appearances with the White Sox this season after his contract was purchased from Class AA Birmingham on July 15.
He was 4-9 with a 4.76 ERA (46 ER/87.0 IP) and 90 strikeouts over 17 starts with Birmingham this season. Fulmer ranked fourth in the Southern League in strikeouts per 9.0 IP (9.31) and sixth in strikeouts at the time of his promotion to Chicago.
Fulmer was selected by the Sox in the first round (eighth overall) of the 2015 First-Year Player Draft out of Vanderbilt University. He was the first player from his draft class to reach the major leagues.
The White Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow's game.
