White Sox option Charlie Leesman to Class AAA Charlotte

DETROIT -- Following tonight's game at Detroit, the Chicago White Sox optioned left-handed pitcher Charlie Leesman to Class AAA Charlotte.

Leesman, 27, was recalled from Charlotte prior to last night's game and suffered the loss in a start against the Tigers, allowing six runs on nine hits over 2.2 IP.

He has gone 0-2 with a 1.59 ERA (3 ER/17.0 IP) and 11 strikeouts in three starts with the Knights this season.

The Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow's game against the Tigers.
