CHICAGO -- Following Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader vs. Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Erik Johnson to Class AAA Charlotte.
Johnson was the losing pitcher in the nightcap vs. the Indians, allowing five runs on seven hits over 6.2 IP. He is 0-2 with a 6.94 ERA (10 ER/12.2 IP) and 11 strikeouts over two starts with the White Sox this season.
Following the move, Chicago's active roster returns to 25.
