White Sox place Leury Garcia on 10-day disabled list

The Chicago White Sox have placed infielder/outfielder Leury Garcia on the 10-day disabled list (retroactive to June 16) with a sprained finger on his left hand.

Garcia, 26, is hitting .298 (54-181) with nine doubles, one triple, six home runs, 22 RBI, 28 runs scored and a .345 on-base percentage in 56 games with the White Sox this season. He has appeared in 46 games (43 starts) in center field, four (two) in left, two (two) at shortstop and two (one) at second base.
