Prior to tonight's series opener at Minnesota, the Chicago White Sox recalled outfielder Adam Engel from Class AAA Charlotte.
Engel, 25, is batting .218 (36-165) with 12 doubles, two triples, eight home runs, 19 RBI and 20 runs scored over 46 games with Charlotte this season.
He appeared in eight games in his first stint with the White Sox from May 27-June 9, going 6-20 (.300) with three runs scored and four stolen bases. He made his major-league debut in game one of a doubleheader on May 27 vs. Detroit.
